Headlight restoration questions, answered straight
Everything customers ask before booking. If yours is not here, call or text 123-456-7890 and we answer in under 5 minutes.
What exactly is headlight restoration?
Removing the UV damaged outer layer of a polycarbonate headlight lens and sealing the fresh surface against future damage. Our process is chemical decontamination, grit matched wet sanding, machine polishing, and a ceramic coating that chemically bonds to the lens. It returns near factory clarity without replacing the assembly.
How much does it cost?
$220 per pair for Full Restoration with a 3 year warranty, $320 per pair for Crystal Clear for Life with lifetime yearly inspection and touch up. Mobile service included. Both tiers carry the Perfectly Clear or It's Free guarantee.
How long does it take?
About an hour for most vehicles, both headlights. Heavy damage can add 20 to 30 minutes. You do not need to be there once we have access to the car, and we send before and after photos when we finish.
Are you really open 24/7?
Yes. We are the only headlight restoration operator in Tampa Bay open 24/7. Night shift workers, early flights, after the kids are asleep: if the car is parked, we can restore it.
Where do you go?
Everywhere in St. Petersburg and southern and central Pinellas County: Gulfport, Pinellas Park, Largo, the beaches, and more. We come to driveways, offices, condo garages, and workplace lots. See the service areas page for drive times from our south St. Pete base.
What do you need from me on site?
Nothing but access to the vehicle. We bring our own water, power, lighting, and shade. The job needs about six feet of clearance around the front of the car.
What happens if it rains?
Summer storms are part of scheduling in St. Pete. We work under our own canopy in light weather, and if a storm makes quality work impossible we reschedule to the next clear window, often the same day. You never pay for a job that could not be finished right.
What is the guarantee, exactly?
Two promises. First, Perfectly Clear or It's Free: when we finish, if your headlights are not perfectly clear, you do not pay. Second, the response promise: call or text anytime and we answer in under 5 minutes, or your restoration is free. Full terms are on the guarantee page.
How is this different from a DIY kit from the parts store?
The kits sand and polish, then finish with a wipe on sealant that sits on the surface and wears off in months, so the haze comes back. Our ceramic coating chemically bonds to the polycarbonate. There is no film to wear off, which is why we can warranty the work for 3 years to life while kits warranty nothing.
Can cloudy headlights fail a Florida inspection?
Florida has no annual vehicle inspection, so nothing to fail. The real legal exposure is on the road: Florida Statute 316.220 requires low beams to reveal objects at 150 feet, and badly oxidized lenses can fall short of that standard and draw an equipment citation. Dim lenses are also a documented factor in night crash liability.
Do you do taillights?
Yes, same process, same guarantee. Ask when you book and we will handle headlights and taillights in one visit.
My car is over 10 years old. Is it still worth it?
Older cars usually benefit most. Replacement assemblies for discontinued models are expensive or unavailable, while restoration works on the lenses you already have. If a lens is cracked or damaged inside the housing we will tell you before we start instead of taking the job.
How do I pay?
Card, tap to pay, cash, or even crypto, right at the vehicle. Fleet and dealer accounts can be invoiced. Payment is due when the job is done and you have looked at the result.
How do I book?
Book online on our contact page any time, or call or text 123-456-7890. We answer in under 5 minutes, confirm your slot, and come to you.
